How to Adopt a Ferret from SMFR
1. View Available Ferrets
Click on the "Adoptable Ferrets" tab under the site navigation to see who’s currently looking for a home.
2. Complete an Application
Download the Ferret Contract under the "Downloads" section. To be considered, a complete application must include:
- A filled-out Ferret Contract
- A clear, unexpired photo ID
- Photos and a short video of your ferret setup (cage/enclosure, food area, toys, etc.)
The contract includes the email address where you’ll send all application materials.
3. Schedule a Meet-and-Greet
If your application is approved, we’ll contact you to schedule a meet-and-greet. This is your chance to meet multiple ferrets and talk with us about which one best fits your home and lifestyle.
Please note: You must bring your own CLEAN pet carrier to the meet-and-greet if you plan to take a ferret home that day.
